$8000 Tax Credit
Well, it gets kicked around by our elected officials daily, but still no word on if/when the $8000 tax credit for 1st time home buyers (anyone that has not owned a home in the past 3 years, some income restrictions, and the limit is 10% of the purchase price maxing out at $8000) will end or be extended. It seems to have cost the government (you and me) more than anticipated.
Currently, it will end on midnight November 30, 2009. I have had several buyers take advantage of this program and it seems to have had some impact on real estate sales around the country. Most of my fellow real estate brokers want this extended.
